Festival 1000 Bikes 2010 - Mallory Park

Tue Jul 13, 2010 9:14 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

First outing for the Cadalora Rep, I also took the MC21 Track Bike. All ran well, an awesome weekend. Freddie Spencer & Carl Fogarty thrashing around the track together was a highlight. Some pics.......

One of the 500 triples is a full Works NS, the other is a RS with Factory NS parts fitted.

Of the Ducatis, L to R, 996 race bike prepped as Foggy's 1995 WSB bike, Leon Haslam's 999 Race Bike & Sete Gibernau Desmo GP6 (both originals).

Keep an eye on MCN's website, there will be a video clip of Freddie lapping Mallory on the 500, with MCN pursuit rider / cameraman in tow Cool

Wow! Great pictures and awesome to see how quick the development moves on... 5 year between the 500 and 250 and the Cad rep looks thoroughly modern.

Good effort Rich

Great to see you that day Rich, me and the old chief did come back round but I think you were ready to go out with RC 161's and other classics for the parade lap.
Could definately tell you were bedding her in on the first session but as the day went on it was harder and harder to catch a pic as you came down the hill onto the straight.
We had an awesome day and weather held out which was amazing, still amazed at the speed of the rotary's they were mindblowingly fast !!!

Jimmy, great to meet you as well. The problem with riding a bike at this event is your always rushed and don't get enough time to really speak for long. I was not due to ride in the Past Masters, but then was drafted in....

Yep, was just running all the new parts in on the bike for the first few sessions in the morning. Then wound it up a bit more after that.

By the last session, I was still shifting at 12,000 RPM rather than 13,000 RPM. Just didn't want to wring every last breath out of it, it being a new rebuilt engine.

When I took the NXA around Mallory in April, it was going to 13,500 RPM down the main straight.
