Check powervalve assemblies these are more than likely gummed up and could potentially be causing the issue. If the valves stop the servo from turning it is detremental to your servo and PGM.
powervalves cleaned up and working fine, new battery, new plugs, carbs totally cleaned, seals renewed. these all helped take it from not running to where it is now, which was a vast improvement. compression test was good.
mechanics out of ideas now, so wont proceed until i get a new pgm, i'd rather not buy one just for the fun of it.
Have you checked the powrvalves are properly setup and working? If they don't open it can sometimes cause problems.
If your PGM has died, you can usually tell by taking the top off and having a look and smell inside. If there is no obvious burning or exploded components, give it a good sniff to see if you can smell that something in there has overheated. If it looks / smells fine, then I'd suspect it was ok and you have another problem, like a pickup issue perhaps, or a bad line to your spark plug coils. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
