Hi all,
I'm just looking for info on some stampings on the sides of my MC18 R5k barrels. They are stamped with "PJ280" on the sides of the barrels. This was appears to have been hammered in with some manual stamps. The bike is new to me but was first iregistered into the UK in1996 so someone may have done some tuning work on it or who PJ is?. Any help is appreciated. The bike runs very well and I dont want to open it up just for curiosity sake. The reg of the bike is F150 MNU (a Seed Recing model) so if you are or know the bikes hostory please let me know.
Thanks
Hello, common practise is for the re-platers to stamp the barrel. I'd guess that PJ Engineering in Wolverhampton have re-plated the cylinders in the past.
Must have been a while back as PJ don't do re-plates anymore. I'd be tempted to check that there isn't a steel liner fitted, as that's what they do these days and I've yet to hear a good report sorry.
