on my mc16 there is a hose on the side of each carb that loop over the top and then go through an eye to hold it alongside the carbs. can anyone tell me the purpose of these as when i turn my petrol on the petrol pours out of the looped hose on one of the carbs. also on the bottom of the carbs there is a outlet. is there supposed to be anything connected here or is it for draining purposes? ive tried repairing my fuel tap as it has a leak but ive had no joy resulting in me contacting david silver spares but ive had no success there. need to find a tap from another bike as im desperate to get out on the bike. any ideas. thanx for putting up with my questions guys

The hose you refer to is an overflow,you will need to check/set the float heights,also check the valve seat for wear or dirt.The drains are for draining the float bowls.
