I put 2006 CBR600RR forks on my NSR. I didn't have the upper CBR triple, so I made new triples the same width as the NSR ones. The CBR spindle works in the NSR headstock. I modified the hubs of the CBR disks to bolt to the NSR wheel. Had to make bushings to adapt the axle to the CBR forks. The pre-load would not back off enough so we shortened the spring spacers (15mm I think) to get that right.
For the rear end I did a small modification to a 2009 R1 shock. The upper mount was wider than stock so I cut the eye narrower and made shorter bushings. This shock is about 11mm longer so I made new link plates. With the pre-load backed all the way off it seems to be about right.
I have only driven it around the block and it felt OK. Waiting for the weather to improve!
