This sounds suspicious to me, but that is just me. I always worry when the English sounds forced & someone puts a long list of stock specs for a bike. I could be wrong, but I don't think someone can make a blanket statement that they can tell you how to get a title with a little work. That is NOT going to happen in my state, vehicle must be inspected physically to get a "new" title and insurance is required. Maybe it is easy in some states or you can do something fishy like register some trashed bike & use the plates on
this, or...

Oh, off this subject, any advice on insurance? Progressive and GEICO
has NSR250 on their banned list. Could only get insurance on my 18 by
calling it a special construction bike at "high" rate, well higher than
my speed triple...

Regards,
Crystal

Crystal,

I agree on the title bit. States are becoming more and more strict. I bought a bike that was already titled in my state because I've been told that it's impossible to have it done now.

I have my MC21 insurance with Progressive. No problems getting it either. Not sure why you couldn't. It's CHEAP too!

The list of stock specifications is lifted right off this Site!

I'd ask the owner to title it in Texas if it's that easy, as you'd have more chance of transferring a title than getting a new one in most states!

I've seen a Shell Advanced paint job on an NSR before, but that has to be the ugliest paint scheme ever ( opinions like an ass, everybody's got one ) Wink I think it looks a little rough by the pics.

It is obviously an R model, and the seller purposely took the pics in a way to try and hide it.

I also wonder what kind of hack job was done to fit the MC28 bodywork.

My NSR is listed as a 1988 Honda on my bill and my CR is a 1995 Honda. I pay $3.83 NSR and $7.35 CR a month. That is just basic liablity. I took off everything else a few months ago figuring they probably wouldn't pay if I had a claim.

John,

I can't tell you how I got it. They have it listed as a '93 NSR250 with the correct vehicle ID. I'm an old fart though (42) and not too bad a record. I'm not complaining. I may have to though if anything ever happens to it. I think I'd then have a problem proving its' value.
