few people have done it, no one seems to have shared much info. I'm in the painstakingly slow process of trying the Ignitech.

I'm yet to sort out a few teething issues before it gets thrown on a bike.

This is a reply i got from the 2stroke shop

"The Ignitech already has a stator setup programmed in for the MC18 so it can easily be done, and has been previously.
Basically remove the PCM unit and wire in the Ignitech.
The HV (High-Voltage CDI coils) coils on the stator are not used, just 12V from the battery/charging system, and the unit drives the std coils and powervalve motor.
I have several friends that have MC18/21 so any real issues could be helped out from this end.
I can help with info on setup etc, but the actual wiring up of the unit would be up to the purchaser."

Ah stop looking at it and wire it up Smile NEVER had any issues with getting a bike running they are dead set simple.

I prefer the Zeeltronic as it has Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) on the solenoids and the hand programmer is useful in the field.
Matters not which way you go both are excellent products, basicaly IMO if you DON'T have one you should have to have a note from your mum excusing you.

It helps to not be a forgetful git like me and lose the USB-RS232 driver CD-ROM Evil or Very Mad

I know, too many excuses, not enough action. I pulled apart a top end of an NSR that ran without coolant, I can show you cool pics from that!

I cannot have a bigger blonde moment than what I have been suffering. Got the Ignitech to talk to the PC, now to hook it up to the NSR and see what happens. I suspect I need to confirm some wiring things though (most likely setup for premix).

Use the TEST screen and you can test all the functions in situ without motor running.

that means dragging my computer into the shed Razz

I'll grab my spare loom and plug different outputs to see how it works, based on the wiring diagram I suspect the oil pump solenoid is not energised because I did not specify I was running the pump.
