Is this a mc28 or 21 fuel tank?

Hi

I have finally picked up this tank with fairings. The fairings are definitely 28, but I am unsure of the tank as it looks quite narrow down the back.

I can't compare directly with my 28 as it is still with the machinist awaiting pickup post r6 front end installation (which looks bloody brilliant by the way!)

Is there an easy way to determine what tank this is? I am trying to add a photo but pc has crashed and damn iPad will not let me..

The back of the tank where your stomack is is a lot rounder than the 21 the 28 curves a bit less than half way up where the 21 curves around 3/4 of the way up

Oh, I have got to my PC and downloaded the photo as the discussion is pretty meaningless without a photo!

I purchased said tank and fairings from someone who may be on the list. The fairings are definitely MC28, but the rear of this tank doesnt line up too well with the Tyga MC28 seat unit (well, not unless I trim the seat unit quite a bit, which I am loathe to do at the moment!!)

...and check the ferings as well.

If I remember correct, OEM mc28 screen will not fit on chinese ferings. That said, they still are made like the originals (injection moulded ABS plastic) and look quite close.. thought you'll have to look at them from distance.

I installed a complete 2010 front end. It is probably overbraked now, but the suspension and brakes are a quantum improvement. I had the forks resprung and ohlins cartridges fitted.
