i know there was slight interest in these, ive spoken to rich this morning and have a rough price.for a billet crank and new bearings etc would be roughly £1000 and for one with billet conrods would be near £1300,stroker kits would be possible as well.if interest give me a shout,if not dont worry Laughing

MC18 2/4j, MC18 5/6k, and MC21 cranks do differ. Which one/s are you looking to do?
I live in New Zealand and (unknowingly and simultaneously) have been slowly working towards a similar thing for the MC18 R5k / R6k.
See my post over at Diff'rent Strokers

I hope it is OK to have mentioned you (SiLikesGuiness) in my post. Confused If you want your name removed just let me know.

Hmm, looks like not much interest.
Makes me wonder what people are doing to get good NSR250 crankshafts.
I guess just buying them second hand from Yahoo! Japan and hoping they are alright?
Is there a better way?

They are probably getting them rebuilt by Stephen, ****** or someone alike.

When you actually have an item for sale, I'm sure there will be a lot of interest. I'll buy one for sure.

Like mentioned earlier, It would need CR rods or similar so all parts are serviceable.

For the mc18`s these would be a big sell as carn`t get new ones as for the mc21 probably the only people that would want these would be race bikes as the new honda ones are cheaper and still avaliable . Now if they run out that is a different story ,Then these are worth whatever they want to charge.

I'm not sure I'd bother, with all the other 250 smokers I know that have billet cranks available, they don't seem to sell many. Price is good though, at that sort of money I'd use one in my next rebuild.

BILLET CRANKS

Sun Jul 10, 2011 8:45 pm » Post: #10 » Download Post

Whilst the crank in my MC18 R2J is fine right now, it won't be forever and this sounds like a great solution. When the inevitable happens I will be going down this route.
I will be using my bike a lot more, safe in the knowledge it can be rebuilt properly with new parts, when the time comes.
