EBay word of warning

Wed Jul 27, 2011 1:35 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

No doubt if I mailed them it would fall on deaf ears but if you know these chaps tell them they are doing no favours to the NSR community Rolling Eyes

Deliberately advertised as a HRC Magtek which it aint !

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-MC18-1988-1989-NSR250-NSR-250-REAR-WHEEL-HRC-/280168769064?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item413b5c2628

A genuine HRC wheel not only has the HRC rim decal but also a rotational arrow with the phrase " Not for highway use "

"light weight wheel " - yeah, well what weight is it then ? A HRC is about 30% lighter than a road Magtek.

Don't get duped by this false listing !

No mention of what size the wheel is either so praying on the not so knowledgeable to releave them of a very common 18" rear wheel that was fitted on most MC18 SPs

Listings like this make my piss boil Evil or Very Mad

It's not difficult. complicated or costs to put up good quality close up shots detailing an item FULLY

With a total lack of respect for NSR users I would avoid this mob like the plague Mad

MM!

"These chaps" are Jap4Performance, they're site supporters, Tyga UK distributors and the owner is "gavin jap4" on this forum. He'll listen if you talk to him.

People calling Magteks "HRC" is nothing new and Gav's been trying to sell this wheel for that money for a long time, he's got two hopes, Bob Hope and no hope...lets see what this one in Japan goes for. It's got a sprocket carrier worth about £20, a nice sprocket probably worth about the same and a tyre on. It currently has no bids and a start price of £39 so the wheel itself is effectively free.

Though as you've said, leaving the wheel size off the ad is a bit dodgy.

I've left the ebay link there as it's you, Andy can decide if it stays Wink

I will PM him over the weekend cause his ZXR BEET listings are "whiffy " too Shocked

No Stainless sytems available
Last time I talked with them only 3 Ti systems in stock & out of production
Rearsets have two types and two year changes , 89/90 need spacers or the rearsets get guaged on the gearchange side.

I talk with BEET a fair bit - they make awesome kit and raced ZXRs , fantastic company to deal with, helpful and go that extra bit to find any info' out you request even going into their old stock room and rumaging the filing cabinets and faxing old documents Cool

Tried to get a factory visit to see the race ZXR but they declined Crying or Very sad But see them at Tsukuba track when JSB comes around so one day I will crack them Laughing

Thank you gents.

Perhaps in future NSR-World users could try contacting the people they feel responsible for dodgy listings instead of flaming them directly on here first?

I feel this matter is closed.
