For Sale: MC21 - now with pictures

Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:47 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

MC21 1991 (J Reg). White. In storage for the past 12 years. She's a runner but has no MOT or Tax
A good basis for a restoration project, but due to a new house purchase, I'm unlikely to find the time to work on it any time soon!
Requires a fair amount of tlc, a Speedo cable & the front nose fairing.
Totally sold as seen, due to a very minimal knowledge of restoring bikes. Rolling Eyes

Viewing recommended.
£1,950 ono

The owner may not be that aware of what this is but it looks like a 21SE with Faddy Daddy pipes to me.

Dry clutch and adjustable rear shock, no Magteks.

No conversations in classifieds please!

But....the remote rear shock and the dry clutch cover are clearly visable, not that clear on the little pic I've added to the post but on the originals sent to me (I PM'd divster13 saying send me the pics and I'll add them) it's quite clear.
Magteks (or a lack of) are easy to spot, flat edges on the rims.

So, remote res shock, dy clutch, stock wheels, 12 years in storage, almost certainly an SE.

Pipes are old but as far a I'm aware they're quality Japanese kit.

And no further comments unless you're enquiring after the bike please Wink

The bike has been in storage for the past 12 ish years. It has 2 former owners since it's import in May 1997. The bike had completed 17,991 Km prior to being stored. the reason I now have the bike, is my mate moved and realised it was high time he had a clear out!
I have minimal documentation to go with the bike, however have the new Red V5 registered in my name & it's currently SORN due to no MOT, tax or insurance. The only MOT certificate I have is dated April 1999 along with it's original failure notice. As far as I'm aware in it's short time from import to storage, it's only been a road bike.

My brother-in-law fired her up at the weekend, after he replaced the plugs and battery.
The know missing bits are, speedo cable, front/side fairing, wing mirrors. The petrol/oil mix pump apparently doesn't work, or so I was told. (we didn't check though!). The front head light is attached with a cable tie & so are the side fairings. The cans are both different. One is Faddy Daddy, but the other has no label IDing it.
No spares I'm affraid.

If you'd like to come & view her, please drop me a line.
