Ive ordered a new top end re-build kit and while waiting for it to arrive i decided to pull the cylinders off to familiarise myself with what i need to do. This is my first time opening an engine, but im pretty sure its not right - the piston (only done one so far) has a lot of blow by (just worn rings i guess) a few "marks" lines running down the piston and even a line (crack?)
The cylinder has numerous scoring marks all around but all very light marks (are these seizures or piston slap?), the crosshatching is still very visible. I cant see any gouges or anything i would suggest to be serious.
Not sure how to post the pics in a decent size, but links below

Mate, that bore is perfect. You could probably clean it up with some muriatic acid to remove any aluminium marks, and lightly scour it with green scotchbrite. Wash it throughly to remove any scotchbrite. Assemble and you're good. _________________ MC21 Honda NSR250. TYGA 300 conversion.
