mc 28 and mc 21 rear light unit

are the mc 21 and the mc28 rear light unit the same? im not in a rush for one but im after a 28 rear light unit and if they are the same it will make finding one easyer. also are the front light units the same my mc 28 one ive just found outside so may of got a bit wet. where as my mc 21 front light unit is tucked up safely in the dry

I seem to recall the MC21 and MC28 tail lights are the same, but the headlights are slightly different.

I'm not sure the difference is really a huge issue unless you are building a concours example, but I think you'll find the MC28 light lens is slightly more angled back than the MC21 lens.

The MC28 light doesn't have the small running light in the middle on account of the lights being permanently on when the engine is running.

Strangely, in all the years I've had my MC21 (and that'll be 17 now! Shocked

), I've never had a side/parking light on it, and it's never failed its MOT for it!

Having said that though, I think it is a legal requirement (if you actually have lights... I don't now), and has just been overlooked by friendly testers in the past.
