decals

Thu Nov 24, 2011 5:19 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello all you knowledgable members .

During the winter I have to get my tank ,fairing etc, repaired, sprayed and restickered .

The bike is an mc28 se 1994 in standard colours which are mainly blue and white with a red flash on the fairing to tank and green number plates under the seat .

Does anybody know where I can get a set of stickers?

Thanks

Headman

Stickers are getting harder and harder to source. Moriwaki-man seems to find NOS (new old stock) from time-to-time in Japan, and for bold decals (like the solid "flash" stripes) you can use vinyl or a good bodyshop will spray them.

If you want OEM though, you'd be best advised to try and order from Honda sooner than later!

A lot of the 28 decals are still available. Have a look through the parts manual and email David Silvers with the part numbers of the decals you require, they will let you know the availability and price of what you need. Some of the Honda prices are a bit salty but if you want to keep it original they are the way to go, they are very good quality and fit perfectly but really depends on what you want to spend.

As Andy said if you cant source them in the UK give MM a try.

Dont know of anyone who does complete pattern kits, but if you have panels with all the original decals you could get someone like these: http://www.bike-stickers.com/classics.htm to make a set.

A lot, but by no means all.

What I mean is (try to) get them now, rather than wait, or someone else will!

I have some MC28 original honda decals . I paid a lot of money for them ,however I won't use them as they are different to my bikes colourscheme ! I think they are the red white and blue ones , i need to look to see what i have . Let me know if you are interested as they are currently in a cardbord box in the loft.

Rob, would you have facilities to scan them? I could then make up some vectors to cut them out in vinyl.
