Jeff or anybody - did you ever determine the proper fluid level or ccs needed? How about the stock fork oil weight?
Thanks.

Best I can do you is 1994 levels, from an RS250 Showa overhaul manual:

Standard Oil Level - 130mm
Standard Oil Capacity - 373cc
Recommended fork fluid - Honda Ultra Cushion Oil (SAE 5W)

Hey thanks, Andy! I heard elsewhere that for '98 stock is 136mm air gap and 5 weight oil, so it doesn't sound like it varies too much by year, at least up to the '01 models. Thanks.

I'd imagine you'd want to go higher than 130mm anyway, and probably thicker than 5W too, depending on how heavy you are.

StephenRC45 knows a bit about suspension, and is also mates with Mr. K-Tech here in the UK, so maybe he can find out a little more for you.
