The 21 Cabin SP I bought off Johnny Mac arrived in Dubai yesterday and I'm off to the dock to clear it through customs in the morning...just thought I would share my massive excitment!
I'll have the crate open tomorrow so will take a few photos, hopefully no transit damage and hopefully get it insured and registered on Sunday/Monday and able to ride to work again.
A belated Christmas gift I'm sure my wife is going to love _________________ 1996 MC28SE (Honda Flash), 24,000KM - Drilled airbox, HARC Pro pipes, TYGA Hi-flo reeds, special manifolds, Ohlins rear shock & steering damper - SOLD
Be sure to keep this one VERY well secured... it will be extremely desireable when people see it!
I've already had a metal cage fabricated for my yard which will basically bolt into the concrete floor with a hinged gate/opening which I can then lock once the bike is inside...AND I'll have a huge chain securing the bike itself...this one is not getting stolen
It's arrived in perfect time as there is a small bike show coming up in the next few weeks, it will get many looks once I pull up on it.
Looking forward to regular Friday morning rides to the mountains again...it feels like so long since I rode and I'm going to scare myself _________________ 1996 MC28SE (Honda Flash), 24,000KM - Drilled airbox, HARC Pro pipes, TYGA Hi-flo reeds, special manifolds, Ohlins rear shock & steering damper - SOLD
Slight delay getting the bike through customs but should have it on Sunday. Manage to get access to the crate though and inspect the bike, no damage which is good.
Bike finally cleared customs and police check today so picking it up in a few hours. Should bs able to get it registered and insured tomorrow and ready for a Friday morning blast to the Hatta mountains
I sold my 28 around three months ago and the 21 was nicked before that so been bikeless since. It's perfect weather here now, around 25c...I'm planning a nice early Friday morning ride and breakfast on an east coast beach somewhere
Cleared it through customs and opened the crate at the warehouse...had around 30 warehouse workers surround the bike instantly! Put some fuel, coolant & oil in and it started first kick
A driver dropped the bike off at my office and I took it for a cheeky ride round the block and all good, if a little bit fluffy. It certainly needs derestricting and some jetting changes as a much different climate here to the UK.
Hopefully have time to do the wire splice and drill a couple of holes in the airbox on Thursday night and a test run on Friday morning.
Insured & registered this afternoon which is a relief as I had heard they were getting strict on emissions here, but passed with flying colours...legal now and ready to ride to work tomorrow.
Bike felt a little less fluffy on the way home so I think there must have been a temporary issue from standing so long, seemed to go bit more lively. Going to mod the airbox and wire splice tomorrow night ready for a blast on Friday.
