I don't have any papers for my MC21SP and only have rumours that it is a direct import from Japan. Is it possible to get a registration from Japan or any declaration its been raced, exported or other, from Japan ?

If its from the UK, can I check that by only the framenumber ?

In the UK it's a pain, you need to ask a local DVLA office in person to look the frame number up. As far as I know there is no other way to chase a reg number.

Hi there,having had the odd bike direct from Japan i know the importer will recieve a title document from Japan and custom clearance papers to confirm the dutys have been payed,these documents are then given to someone who has the authority to age relate the vin no for registration,the bike is then MOT on vin no you then give DVLA the reg fee and 1 years road tax fee,and then 4-5 days later you get your reg no with UK log book and a tax disc,thats what happens here in RIPOFF Britain,it is close to impossible to reg the bike here without this procedure or documentation,dont know how stiff they are in Europe,hope this helps,goodluck with it,jonmac.
