Sat Jun 09, 2012 9:25 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi,

Can someone please tell me the initial position of the power valve motor is? Is the arrow/indicator on the pulley suppose to be at the Lo position and then spin clockwise until it reaches the Hi position as the throttle open?

Thank you

Thank you Sir,

Can you please tell me one more thing? At the initial position after I turn the key to "On", is the arrow/indicator on the power valve pulley in front of the air box sit in the middle/between the Lo and the Hi marks or it sits at the Lo then spin to the Hi position as the throttle open?

Thank you

G'day Mrkeung,

My bike starts out in the middle of the "hi and "lo" position. When i flick the run/stop switch to run, the rc servo cycles to "lo". After I kick start the bike, the rc servo jumps around a little until it finds it's idle speed at which the servo sits in the "lo" position. Once warmed up, the servo basically replicates the throttle position. Lo = no throttle/Hi = near wide open throttle.

Well that's what my bike does. Not sure about others...

pbekkerh's bike must refer to the forum, mine does what the pgm says to do.

I'm sure my valves are also controlled by the PGM and not the forum Very Happy

If you follow the adjustment procedure, then after that, you can leave it to the PGM to do the correct thing.

Unless your pgm or rc servo are faulty.

Then you wouldn't be able to follow the procedure Wink

My bike went through the whole rc valve setting procedure fine, but wouldn't cycle to the hi position while riding last year. The rc motor was faulty!!!

I bought a used rc valve and NOW it works fine.
