MC16 aftermarket pipes

Tue Jul 03, 2012 11:26 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I picked these pipes up a while ago, anyone have any idea who might have made them? The welding is very nice, the brackets are brazed.

Many thanks,

Cheers,
Andrew

Did you get them off a certain place on the internet where people bid against each other? Was watching a similar set..

Yes, indeed, they were on a "buy-it-now" for £100. Bargain really!
They looked really rough in the photos, but apart from a bit of surface rust and some very small dents, they're in great condition. I just need some stubs.

Cheers,
Andrew

Aye they were up for a while, no idea what they are though. Be interesting to see what they do on an MC16!

Might not do much to the power output, but I imagine it will sound much nicer. I'm a bit torn though, since the whole point of me buying an MC16 was to have a dead original bike. I've gone down the "much modified MC21" route before and discovered a bottomless pit for my wallet! Oh well.
Sorry, this is going off-topic.

Cheers,
Andrew

The way to go with the MC16, to keep a similar look to stock, it fit R2J chambers. The silencers are smaller, but the layout isn't far off the MC16's, and doesn't look out of place.

I can tell you what those pipes are not... they're not HRC. No idea what they are though, as there's very little MC16 after-market performance information.
