Hay everyone nice ta' meet cha. I have a problem and was hopeing you guys could help me out.

I was riding to a mates place and the engine was dead cold from sitting at home for about 2 hours after a 30 minute ride. It felt as if I was in too higher gear cause it was bogging down. took about 30 seconds then it all came right.

After stopping at my mates for about an hour I went to ride home and It did the same thing but it never cleared up.

I couldn't get it home any other way so just rode it as is. Took me 15 minutes to get home. Is it stuffed or is it something simpler than a dying engine? Please tell me its the later.

Cheers everyone. Sad

just take it for a ride and if it has no power the come back straight away and pull out the plugs and check if they are sparking. if not get some new ones and check them and hopefully you will be off again

Hi Spada, my nsr had a similar problem when the bloke b4 me had it and it was spark plugs, they are hard 2 find but here's some tips; if you can get a hold of a multimeter, set it to 20K or 20 000 Ohms and put one lead on the spark plug electrode (black tip) and the other on where the lead connects, the reading should be between 3K and 12K ohms if it reads higher, then the plug is stuffed or on the way out, go to a KTM shop they use the same plug as NSRs otherwise they're really rare. Hope this helps ya mate c ya.
