Tank Mounting Rubbers: Where to source

Sat Aug 04, 2012 8:16 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I'm new to the NSR world and would like to know the best way to get small parts such as the Tank Mounting Rubbers. As these were not imported to Aust. where is a relaibale source for all such small items that don't make eBay?

Regards neil

Roman,

Is there a place in Japan that I can buy parts online? May be easier and quicker to Australia than from uk, after all the parts would have to travel right around and back here.

Nothing worse than a moving tank!

Thanks Neil

Well I go to my local store and order them. Are you looking for used or new parts? I know a website or two that does used parts and ships internationally...

Both, new/used depends what it is. I just got some 18-2 fairings from JP.

I was actually in Tokyo last week and hoped to organise to pick up some bits but the trip was a bit last minute. I go about twice a year but only have had an nsr recently so don't have any connections yet.

Please let me know the links or pm me. Thanks

I've bought many parts for imported Hondas from my local dealer, just get the part number first and ring them to see if they can order it for you.

Don't even mention the model, they'll just check the part number, chances are the same rubber was used on more than a few models, if not, they'll order it from Japan if they have them.

I've used the local bike shop to order suzuki prats and they take forever, maybe it's just my local guys? WE don't seem to have the same level of customer service.

Last year my wife ordered me something online from Parramatta and I ordere something from the states. Took 4 days to get the US delivery, two weeks for the Parramatta one. I know it depends on the part, but aust. selers just don't communicate.
