finshed rebuliding my mc18rk5 at last thanx to andy with his delivery of head gaskets Razz
ok took out for first test run today and will not rev past 5000rpm in all gears if i try to throttle past 5000rpm the bike dies
the bike itself will start no probs will tick over at 1000rpm nps

now aint had time to check anythink yet cos maybe one of u can point me straight to the prob
me thinking it could be the power valves setting
the bike is bog standard carbs have been cleaned,new plugs new air-filter no mods to box also hasn't been overheating
any help with this guys thanx

Horrendously rich?

If the mains are stupidly big but the slows are fine it'll tick over ok, but go daft rich at more than mid throttle.

Does it rev past 5 without load?

well just gone through both sets of carbs checking for any differences
and looks like i got mc21 carbs fitted Carburettor Type TA22
both sets look identical has 128s mains 38s slows i guess the s stands for se/sp maybe
can i still use these carbs or am i best off with the oringinal set that have seen better days
