That's probably not going to be an easy task! Can you post some photos of it please?

And welcome to NSR-WORLD Mike.

this is the bike in its current condition. have 2 boxes of spares that came with it - lots of them with handwritten japanese on them - so i know it was raced overseas at least. i was told it was a factory bike but am trying to prove/disprove that w/ some documentation.

I think almost every RS ever re-sold has a "factory" history! Laughing

It's extremely unlikely, but it's not to say it's not been graced by some talented arses in the past!

It looks on the surface to be in very nice condition. Can you post some photos of it with the bodywork off sometime please?

On the outside, there is nothing "factory", but again, it appears to be very well looked after. Smile

The photos however may jog someone's memory, and once you can find one or two people that can remember the bike, or previous owners, the pieces of the jigsaw can often slowly be reassembled.

Judging by the Moto Liberty decal on the bike could this be the team that ran it:

See what a few photos can [potentially] do?! Smile

Worth following that up, for sure!

Team Moto Liberty was big back in the early/mid 90's here in the US. They sponsored many 125 and 250 riders at the club level as well as at the AMA 250 GP level.

They even sponsored Nicky Hayden (actually all the Hayden boys) back in 1992 on a 125 gp bike.

Team Moto Liberty kind of went the way of the 2-stroke in the US in the late 90's as the AMA series ramped down and the USGPRU starting up a "national" series.

As for the bike in question, could have been a team bike (or sponsored rider) back in the early 90's.

Moto Liberty has continued to be the importer of RS Taichi products and Audrey Menarik is still a big supporter of motorcycle racing in the US. At one time, there was a big push to have her take over over site of the AMA 250 GP series. THat never happened and our national 250 G series went away very soon after that.
