WTB: NSR, RGV or TZR in USA

Sat Dec 22, 2012 3:22 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Looking for a relatively inexpensive Honda NSR, Suzuki RGV, Aprilia RS or Yamaha TZR 250 in the USA. Maybe something that's a bit tired and in need of a rebuild or cosmetic work. Not looking to spend too much on one with kids in college. (I know these can be quite pricey, but thought I'd give it a shot) Titled/registered would be a big plus.
Would also consider a CBR400RR.
Please e-mail davidjt18 (at) verizon (dot) net if you have one to part with in the United States.
Thanks.

I do have a lead on another MC28 that has a CA title. Not sure what you're looking to spend, but the guy wants 10K for it. It's all stock and think it has something like 6,500 miles. PM me if you're interested an I'll forward you the guys information.

Here is one that's relatively cheap in Florida.

And here's another one that looks pretty well sorted in Florida. I talked to this buy before I bought my MC28, and I'm pretty sure he'll take 8-8,500K for it. I didn't end up buying due to the inability to get it registered here in CA without previously having been.

mc18 in New England?

Dmitry - What can you tell me about the MC18 you have? Where are you in New England? I'm just north of Boston.
The RGV's seem to be a bit less $$ than an NSR, but can't quite justify spending $8-10K on a another toy for my garage right now. I know a good NSR is going to e expensive, but I have seen some for cheap $$ that require a rebuild and some bodywork, which is what I prefer to do anyway. Too bad they are so damn plentiful in every other counrty except for the states.
No title = low price in my eyes where there's risk in trying to get it titled succesfully.
Thanks for the replies.
