Honda NSR250 MC16 and Honda NSR125 pistons

One of the pistons is damaged- need to find something that will run good on MC16 1987,
ANy ideas?? Can find MC28 pistons either....
I was thinking that a NSr125 piston will fit...looks to be 54mm-dont know the pin size, also if the piston rings are made for Nicasil or not on NSR125, if not will the piston rings from NSR250 fit on the pistons of NSR125--lots of questions -NO aswers please help guys !

If you haven't heard of them check out tyga-performance.

They have top end rebuild kits in stock. MC28 pistons, but I believe they fit all models.

Another cheaper option some people use is Suzuki RM125 pistons. I don't know a lot about this, so you will have to do your own research. I would always recommend genuine Honda part though, especially if you want to retain that Honda reliability.

Unfortunately they dont have anything is stock, anyone tried NSR125 pistons?

Sounds weird, but yes. The dimensions for some years are almost identical to the NSR pistons.

TuckerBag who posts here also runs a blog on his MC18. He has fitted RM125 pistons to his bike. http://edetuckracing.blogspot.co.nz/p/fitting-rm125-pistons.html.

Nope, thats to much mods that cost +take time. I will try to find originals. Or fit NSR125 - pin size is 16mm that the only difference (:, so far have to check the weight etc.
