Stock sub frame/undertray/electrics

Tue May 28, 2013 6:22 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello all,

Im looking for pics of how the electrics are run and hidden on the stock sub frame set up for an MC21. I am ditching my Tyga RSW bodywork and subframe and going back to the stock subbie and tail. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
Currently in the process of finishing my bike. It doesn't have fairings on, so I'll grab a pic shortly. It's not too difficult, once you get a feel for where it goes you will see that it all fits neatly in to place.
Basically, all the main parts of the harness, the GPS wires, stator wires etc run up the LHS side between the top and bottom subframe rail, just next to the battery. You will see a small hole on the lhs of one of the transverse frame bars - this is for a plastic cable stay forthe main harness and theGPS & stator wiring. The short branch for the regulator/rectifier will be positioned just ahead of the battery box. The remainder of the harness up to the PGM and tail lights runs up the lhs side against the subframe rail. The only thing on the RHS is the rear brake light switch wires.
As I said, once you get it in the general position, you'll see how it all goes. There are little moulded guides on the plastic undertray. Honda have a neat place for everything.
Let us know how you get on.
