nsr 250 gaskets

i have just purchased a gasket kit for my mc16.

the problem is that my heads have a hex shape gasket and the ones in my kit are round shaped.

the water port holes are slightly different too but it looks like it should work.

what nsr's have a round shaped head???

i presume they sent me a gasket kit for a later model

It seems that you bought gasket kit for MC21-MC28.
These models have round shape cylinders and heads.

i bought mc16 kit but they must have sent me a mc21 or 28.

ah well i'll see if i can return it.

the kit is unused but i have opened to packing.

is it just the head gaskets that are different??

are the other gaskets in the kit interchangeable??

would mc18 gaskets fit my setup???

Pretty much everything else is the same, although you may find the cluch cover gasket is very slightly different. Probably fixed with a dab (and I mean dab. Don't go "gluing" the gasket on!) of sealant.

MC18 head gaskets will work. MC21/28 gaskets will not.

As i know MC16 has the same gaskets with the MC18 but i am not sure about the clutch cover gasket.
You better wait a reply from someone with experience on MC16.
