Was out on a Sunday morning blast yesterday, and the rear suspension bottomed out on few occasions. Wondered if the rear shock is in need of an overhaul..
Has anyone here had their OEM shock sent away for a service? If so how did it feel after, and who would you recommend to use?
I'd like to keep the standard shock to keep the bike looking as original if possible
Cheers
Graham
I did a service on my rear shock before a week.
I cleaned it ,changed the oil and reload it with new nitrogen.
The way to reload it is to make a hole and put a valve.
The valve has the same diameter with these on the tires.
Here in Greece we have at some gas stations nitrogen for the tires. So i did the job at a gas station.
For beginning i put 35psi but i can load it up to 60psi if it needs.
So i will leave it for now with 35 and see in the future if it needs more or less pressure.
The way to reload it is to make a hole and put a gas valve.
I-factory in Japan sells a kit with a valve for this job.

Most of ours go to K-Tech. Good service and they will replate all the steel steel parts in clear zink if you ask them. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
Thanks for that Stephen.. I'll give K-Tech a shout..
Do you have much done to them when you send them?
Like tell them your weight and if it's track or road? So they put new spring on etc
Or leave it in standard form?
