I've never had trouble with footrests, more pipes. The MC21 loves rear ride hight so that cures any troubles. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
I was grinding pretty hard with my stock footrests but they were still spring loaded. I have purchased the TYGA brackets to gain a little height from the floor but as yet I haven't put them on.
If you still got the hero blobs on yor footrests, unscrew em and take em off. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
My HRC shock is wound out as far as it goes. You can't seem to get enough rear ride height for the '21... it loves it!
It laps up the shorter NF5 RWU front forks too, sharpening the steering angle even further, although if rebuilt well, stock forks pulled up through the triples a little will do a good job. Getting too agressive does rapidly take its toll on front tyres though. _________________ Andy.

I have Tyga rearsets on my Maxton suspended "R" with Dunlop Q2's and don't have a problem (I weigh 12 st) with grounding out.
If it's your 1st time there on the NSR I'd leave the hero blobs on for the morning and see how it goes. Places it might dig in are 1st corner (Old Hall) that is a lovely fast sweeper, and the 1st part of Hislops.
Be wary of big wobbly 4strokes shutting off half way down the avenue, just keep it pinned until you see cascades start to fall away from you !!! Ditto for the top of Clay hill, just keep it pinned and you can run into Druids really late.
Take it easy and have a great track day (It' not a race !!!)
With the right tyres and rearsets on you can grind the botttom of the fairing, so the NSR will lean along way and still grip - thats the white scrapes in this pic!
If you can't afford rearsets (or are a pikey like me) then simply cut a piece of steel plate about an inch long and 1/2 inch wide. Drill a hole in each end the same diameter as the lower footrest bolt.
Remove the lower bolt and loosen the upper.
Attach the plate to the frame using the footpeg bolt, line up the lower hole with the plate hole and use a nut/bolt to connect them. Voila! _________________ MC21SP Plaything
