The NX5 / NXA hoses are both the same.
If you want to cross reference parts between the NX5/NXA models have a look at the site below.
Click on the parts list tab and list of bikes will appear! Click on your chosen bike for breakdown of all parts for that bike. Amazing!
On the other hand, are you fitting a Bora radiator to your RS, the one with the cut out for the airbox? If so, two out of the three standard NX5/NXA water hoses will not fit, they are too short!
Ask me how I know... It can be sorted though.
You have astutely concluded my predicament as i found out when the Rad turned up.
Mine isnt a 'W' one as i have had it made without the legs on the bottom.
Anyway, after a lot of measuring, pondering, photography and marking up the Rad with suggested mods, i have sent it back for modifications and am awaiting it's return.
The Samco site list hoses for models 93-2003 so i thought they may be ok but when i asked for hoses 2001 - 2009 they said they didnt make them.
My rad has been away for modification too, for the top brackets and widening of the airbox cutout. So much for being a direct replacement...
The top hose is the only one that actually fits, it was the two bottom hoses I was having trouble with.
After consulting a couple of 'experts' I eventually bought some lengths of silicone hose, which I was assured could be formed into the bends I required without collapsing. Needless to say that was a load of crap and the tubes collapsed when bent!
After much umming and ahhing about sending the radiator away again to have the water outlets lengthened I eventually bought one 19mm and one 22mm diameter 60 degree angled silicone hoses with 100mm legs and one 80 x 22mm alloy joining pipe.
For the bottom cylinder hose all I had to do was shorten the legs of the 60 degree angled hoses to suit.
For the hose from the water pump I used a 60 degree angled hose with the alloy joining pipe with another short length of silicone hose to the radiator.
Simon, I did not know about your radiator, I just guessed!
Sorry, but I do not know what the advantages/disadvantages of 'Evans Power Cool' are either, although I did receive a brochure about it when I bought the silicone hose.
