Servo Question

Sat Sep 21, 2013 7:50 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Ok, newbie question in regards to the servo. I just picked up a mc21. Haven't even rode it yet as it needed the tank and carbs cleaned out from left over gas. I just now put everything back together and started it up. I noticed that my servo cycles to high when it turns on and when I rev the bike it cycles to low. My silly question is, is this correct? From what I've read I was under the impression that it would cycle towards high to open and low to close.

Perfectly normal. The idle must be a little high, or you've only noticed it while the choke is on.

Once the RPM goes over about 3000rpm, it will cycle back to "Lo" until around 7000rpm, when it will start to open again.

It opens between 2000rpm and 3000rpm to aid setting the RC Valves, and check their operation.

The idle should be set about 1200rpm. Once warmed up, if you blip the throttle a little, you will see the RC servo cycling if the system is working properly.

Thanks

I'll look again tomorrow when I get to test drive it.
