Aftermarket clutch lever

Sun Oct 20, 2013 5:00 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi I am about to fit a cbr1000rr radial master cylinder on my bike but it has a broken lever. So I was thinking of getting a CRG or ASV lever for the master but also would like a matching lever for the clutch. I know they don't make a specific lever for our bikes and was wondering if anyone out here has put a clutch lever bracket/perch from a newer model bike (08-11 cbr1000rr or a kawi zx6/10) with one of the aftermarket levers on. Just need to know if it'll fit and work properly on the nsr.

Thanks!
Bryan

Hey Bryan,

Welcome to the Forum. I have a CBR1000 Radial on my SP, and use some chinese levers I bought from The2Wheels. I am using a CRG clutch lever on my other bike, and these are pretty good, especially for the money. They have a bunch of options, foldable, short, long, etc... Worth giving it a try and won't kill the bank if you're not happy with them. You're in Los Angeles I see, I live in Venice, so if you want to meet up sometime, maybe even hit up Malibu Canyons, let me know and you can check them out in person.

Hi Michael!

We spoke a few months back about meeting up at a track day, buy life got in the way and I couldn't make it out.

Did you order the nsr specific clutch lever and then a cbr1000rr brake lever from the2wheel? Or was there one specific model that the brake and clutch lever would work?
Also which crg model number do you have on the other bike?

Thanks
Bryan

I ordered the first set prior to fitting the cbr1000 master. I then ordered the other set. I'm not sure if you can order one of each, I don't think you can. My other bike had the CRG lever on it when I bought the bike, so I'm not sure what model number it is. I can look when I get home tonight and see if there is a model number on it. I would call CRG and ask them, i'm sure the design is the same as some other bike's they make levers for. ASV is pretty close in Huntington beach, so you could always drive there or mail them your existing one and see what they have also.

Ok thanks for the info! I'll probably just drive down to ASV as it's not too far from my work.
By the way, I believe the model number is on the bottom side near the pivot point on crg levers.

Here is a picture of my other bike with the CRG lever. Just realized, I also run the CRG clutch perch. You should be able to order a CRG Lever and clutch perch, and another lever for the cbr1000 master to match.

Thanks for the photo Michael! I'm going to try and email the2wheel to see if they'll sell them individually.
