Hi again and thanks for the warm welcome.
My new NSR will live in north Wales not far from Chester.
I am currently in the last stages of restoring a TZR 2503XV and I can't believe how good it's turned out with help off the lads on the tzr forum.
I realy looking forward to doing the same with the nsr and I am looking forward to making new friends on here to.
I will need to use the search as I am a nsr virgin but this time next year I will be able to help others

Hi Steve, and welcome.

Good that you've been eased in by the Yamaha guys... but we're even more merciless! Laughing

Is it a Mk1 or Mk2 MC18? Both are good bikes, with heaps of potential, but can be vastly improved over stock. You'll be amazed at how simple they are to get full power from, compared to a 3XV! Wink

Hi and welcome,

Looks like you are not too far away from me.

You seem to know your way around a two stroke if you have have restored a 3XV, so the NSR wont be too much of a challenge. Feel free to give a shout if you are struck on anything, and I have a pretty good store of some of the hard to come by spares as well.

Thanks all. I am new on this forum but my mc18 mk2 terra rep with nc 21 swing arm is on here. Two owners ago dunkenb owned it.
I have pm him for info about it's history but not had reply yet.
At the moment it will not run as carbs flood crankcase.but I must finish 3xv first.
Thanks Russ for your offer I am in Wrexham.
