Any NSR riders getting to the track this seaon?

I'm looking at doing at least half a dozen trackdaze over the next few months, mainly at the Island but also Broady and possibly Winton.

PI wont allow cameras on bikes for ride days.

I'm thinking of hiding a camera in the fairing somewhere, I need to see where I can put it where it isnt visible for scrutineering and still get decent footage.

I'm down at the island on the 20th Dec, maybe the 19th as well, and the one more in Jan.

I'll either be on the MV or the NSR (or both).

I have booked Monday 10th of February and will also be on a rothmans NSR and a black/yellow GSXR1000! I have managed to film some laps by hiding a pencil style camera inside the headlight of the bike. I used a sony pencil style camera and just slid it into the globe holder. (Cbr600rr) The picture was a little bit fish eyed because of the curvature of the headlight glass but still turned out ok.

Hey mate!
What gearing do you run for the Island?
Also what is a good tyre pressure for the 250? The big bike I have at 30/32 would it be the same for the smaller tyres?

I have never ridden this Mc28 at the island. I rode an mc21 there aprox 10 years ago and the only thing I can really remember about set up was having to install bigger main jets to prevent seizure as you are at sea level and WOT for ages down the main strait. On the Gsxr I run Supercoarsers at 30 frt and rear. I have not ridden there since track was resurfaced so I will be asking the instructors what they recommend. I'm running Dunlop alpha 13 tyres on the nsr and will most likely start at 28. I should stress I'm happy to hammer the Gsxr but I will be taking it easy on the nsr as I would be devasted if I threw it away.

The very few times I had the NSR was when I was very new to track days and the bikes were relatively stock. I ran stock gearing but would back off the throttle a touch just at the end of pit straight for the fear of engine damage.

Having said that, it felt like the bike was running out of puff too.
