Magtek wheel width

Mon Feb 17, 2014 10:48 pm » Post: #2 » Download Post

Hi there,
Neither the standard 18/21/28 sp Magtek road wheel is 3.00 x 17,the Magtek HRC rs 250 wheel is wider and wont have the size of the wheel cast on it like the road wheel does, hope this helps,
PS I may stand corrected but I think that is right,

If it's 3.5 and it has a flat rim the same as the nsr magteks, it's more than likely a pre 91 rs250 wheel.

The later Magteks on the RS had the normal bead, not the flat one. I think a rear version (with normal beads) was also available for the F3 CBR400s

Hi guys it's me he's been speaking to and this is the wheel, size 3.5 x 17, no size stamped on wheel but does have 88 stamped on the wheel supporting the theory it's an early rs250 wheel

If its has no dust seals its an RS wheel. Is one wheel bearing held in by a circlip?
