Altitude range for sea level jetting?

Wed May 28, 2014 1:47 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I'm planning a trip to the mountains this weekend, and am wondering how high I can go before I start running too rich. I searched and found one post where the guy was having problems at 1500 meters. Some of the roads I'd like to ride go as high as 2500 meters.

Would it be as simple as carrying a jet kit with me and changing the MJ one lower when we start climbing, or am i asking for trouble without doing a proper tune for the new altitude?

The bike is a 94 MC28 jetted for sea level with Jha pipes, stock airbox with a high-flow filter, and an HRC jet kit.

Thanks for any help.

I'm afraid we don't do jetting advice in the open forum.

Please read the site rules, and ask again in the right place. Thank you!
