RC valve, inside bushing repair?

Tue Aug 05, 2014 8:10 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

When I removed a RC valve from a barrel/cylinder, there was some silicone on the end of it and I removed that but now there is some play where the far end of the valve goes into the cylinder.

I can see a steel bushing in there, can that be replaced?

That is a very good question, I suppose if there is a bush in there it can be removed and another put in, I don't recall seeing any mention about this anywhere but will start looking as it is relevant to us all.

A bush does sound unlikely as the loading at that point is not great, Honda's trick of running it in the casting would do but does that bit get any lubrication.

As I've not seen in there I can't say but just about everyone else in this forum will have had the valve out I would think.

In the manual it shows a "collar" they call it so it would follow it can be replaced but there is no mention in the parts book.
