Hi...I'm new to these forums, and live in Australia.
I have no bike at the moment...but am hoping to find a MC28 Honda NSR-250
to buy in the coming weeks.
Probably in January/February of the new year.
I started checking the internet for any for sale in my country, but haven't seen any yet.
I'm hoping to find an SE model at the moment.
It will be for daily road use and full road registration.
I was looking at getting an NSR150 at first...but found they are not electric start, and I heard the NSR250 has electric start.
I see people fitting UK type NSR125 electric starter conversions onto NSR150...but there is no NSR125 in my country ever from Honda, and importing all the parts from the UK...plus doing the conversion for me is too much messing around and cost.
I've seen some MC21 come up for sale, but I really like the MC28 pro-arm look.
I may end up going with an MC21 if I can't find an MC28...but don't want any NSR-250 older than MC21 whatever the case.
I don't want any NSR bigger than a 250 either!
As far as I'm aware, the only race-rep 250 with an electric start is an RGV250 VJ23. It seems I have the only NSR250 in existence that's an absolute pain in the ass trying to start... which is probably trying to tell me something! (That I know already!!)
Many here will tell you they can start their NSRs by hand if they want. Unless you have an issue with a kickstart (maybe reduced leg movement from an accident, or something?), I wouldn't be concerned about it.
The NSR150SP is a great little bike, but the NSR250 is in a whole different league. In terms of build quality, chassis components, and performance, there is nothing that isn't better on the 250. (Some would argue the fuel gauge on the 150! ) _________________ Andy.

Nah, it was even a pain in the ass with the freshly rebuilt motor! It's never started well, from the day I bought it!
I just say it has a sense of humour! It's always worst when someone's watching. I've never known another NSR250 quite like it! _________________ Andy.

I'd take it back to who ever built it and complain like @@@@ about shoddy workmanship. Tell you what I'll give you £500 and take it off your hands _________________ MC21R ; MC21SP , plus some other none Honda 2t's
