NSR250 and RS250 rear suspension services...

Tue Jul 08, 2014 10:00 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

From August we will be able to offer a rear shock rebuild, re-valve, and restoration service.

Here are a couple of HRC TT-F3 shocks for comparison:

We will offer this service for NSR250 SE and SP shocks, but not for the R models just yet. We will also be offering stainless steel braided hose and fittings for the remote reservoir hose.

Prices will be announced in August.

We can also anodise alloy shock bodies, and re-plate SP steel bodies, if required.

Would your re-finishing extend to magnesium components?
I have a couple of parts that may need a re-fresh and tidy up which have magnesium parts fitted to them.

What are you after refinishing, Innes? We've got some magnesium RC45 cam covers away being done at the moment, but they are being sealed, primed, and painted.

We can have clear anodizing done, but HRC do have a rather unique finish to a lot of their Mg, something we can't as yet replicate perfectly.

If you want Mg painted (that includes wheels, which can be crack-tested by an ex Dymag guy too), or clear anodised, then drop us a line. Will you be at Donington on the 22nd?

I have some suspension units with both mag and alloy parts that require attention.
Sorry, I won't be at Donnington this year. My work has scuppered any plans of making that day. Sad

Yes, that's your SP shock, Graham. Smile

We can fix the adjuster spring issue for you, but need to sort stanchions still. TYGA do not have anything decent kicking about. Worst case, we can use my SP stanchions (although they do need rechroming) and then source some more to replace them later on, but could just as easily get some new ones made to pattern as you previously mentioned.

I will be back in about a week, and back in regular contact.
