newbie looking for a another nsr

Tue Jun 30, 2015 1:52 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

after a few years been off 2 stroke road bikes ive been recently buzzing around (around... i mean to isle of man from lincs) on a tzr125 belgarda and wow was it fun. ive enjoyed riding it so much ive only room for 1 bike in the conservatory and the 999s has been given the elbow to make room for the little 125!

which in turn has brought me here.

ive had a few nsr250's in the past and loved them riding them. ive been a lurker on this site for years so i thought its about time i created a account.

im looking to buy either a r5k or a r6k mc18 but finding a good one has been tough.

so ill just say thanks now to all the future help this site will give me and if you know of one available please let me know Very Happy

Welcome to NSR-WORLD, 4dl!

An R5K could be a really good choice now. It's a cracking little bike, which can be tickled just enough in the chassis department to keep it sharp, with sturdy electronics and mechanical components that are still generally in pretty good supply, and the prices still haven't gone quite as insane as the MC21 and MC28.

"messer" just picked up what looks like a good one, for pretty reasonable money.

thanks for the welcomes! saw that one but i must be getting old or something as my plan of action is totally standard other than some suspension work and send it to your good self andy for some engine fettling.

i actually saw my 1st nsr250 come up for sale on our fav auction site last summer. i didnt want another 2 stroke road bike at the time but she was in a real sorry state. this is her back in 1999 when i bought it for my 19th birthday gift to myself (beats the lynx gift set i received from the missus)

since then ive had a mc21 and couple of other mc18. about 7 years ago i bought a seed r5k but unfortunately got stolen. the seed was certainly my favorite and want to replace it
