Hi

I think my oil pump is pumping too much oil making starting ,after a brake of a couple of days ,difficult.
Many things were tested and were ok except the solenoid on the pump. The workshop manual says the solenoid should click when the ignition is switched on and off but mine does not,
even when I connect a battery directly onto the solenoid.
I borrowed a spare pump from a friend but this solenoid did not work either.
Am I doing something wrong or are both solenoids faulty?
