Different coils and caps for each cylinder?

Thu Aug 27, 2015 8:59 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

According to the parts list the MC16 the two coils are different part numbers and so are the plug caps. Obviously the HT leads are different lengths because of the layout but why would the coils be different? And why would the plug caps be different if both spark plugs are the same? Am i missing something stupidly obvious? Someone please educate me....

Coils: HT lead lengths are different
Caps: HT lead connection angle (top cylinder is a 90° cap/lower is a 45° cap)

The differences are only physical.

O.K. thanks for that. So the difference in the coil part numbers is only because of the length of the HT lead. So the lead and coil are moulded as one part. According to the NGK manual angles are 90 degree, 102 degree and 120 degree. So the lower cylinder must be 120 degree.
