I read that cylinder barrels should be marked A, B or C - mine both have F on the side. Does this mean they're from a different model, i.e. not NSR250?
Ah apologies, I just found A and B stamped on the two barrels respectively.
If I have them re-plated I will then presumably need to find the right pistons. I see the different pistons listed, but the part number is different depending on the frame number range. Why is this? Unfortunately I can't be sure that my engine left the factory in the frame I have...
You're best off getting [whichever] pistons you want to use, and then sending them in with the barrels, and telling the plater the clearance you want. This is what we do for all our replates. _________________ Andy.
