MC16 cylinder with F on casting

I read that cylinder barrels should be marked A, B or C - mine both have F on the side. Does this mean they're from a different model, i.e. not NSR250?

Ah apologies, I just found A and B stamped on the two barrels respectively.

If I have them re-plated I will then presumably need to find the right pistons. I see the different pistons listed, but the part number is different depending on the frame number range. Why is this? Unfortunately I can't be sure that my engine left the factory in the frame I have...

You're best off getting [whichever] pistons you want to use, and then sending them in with the barrels, and telling the plater the clearance you want. This is what we do for all our replates.

Thanks, I've got some OEM MC16 pistons now so the barrels will go off for plating soon.
