PGMIV and battery

Hello, I have an question!
I can disconnect the battery for a few months (winter) Question
I don't want to create problems for my PGM (error or other) Rolling Eyes there is a buffer memory or not??

Hi Kukkos,

If you are not going to use your bike for a few months rather buy a trickle charger and leave in on charge so that it protects your battery and you wont have to worry about anything happening to the PGM.

You wont hurt the bike by disconnecting the battery.

PGMIV and battery

I don't know the electronic parts inside (PGM) Rolling Eyes
Not problem with my VFR400R NC30 when disconnect the battery for same months Laughing
Stopping power for a few months (disconnect battery) can damage memory Question Crying or Very sad

disconnecting the battery will not harm the PGM-IV (or any PGM for that matter).

You could still hook the disconnected battery to a trickle charger to keep the battery in good condition though.

You should be more worried about how you will care for the battery.

You can do no harm to the bike by having the battery disconnected.
