MC28 Swipe Card Info wanted

Sat Mar 11, 2006 4:19 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi everyone

I have the chance to purchase another another PGMIV Memory card and an HRC card.

Now - before anybody gives me stick Very Happy ... I've search the forum here and can't find the answer to my questions....

1. Is the 010 card the HRC card???

2. What are the model numbers for the 3 cards. I was lead to beleive there were 3 cards available 010, 020, 030. I did think the 030 was the HRC card but I have just seen a piccie of an HRC card with 010 written on it!
I thought the 010 was the stock card that came with the bike, the 020 slightly modified version available as an after market part and the 030 was the HRC

3. If I purchase another PGMIV card where can I get it reprogrammed? If so where?? Email and Web address please!

Thnaks heaps guys!

Well, you can't have searched that hard!

Search query "pgmiv AND hrc" lists 8 matches, the 6th one down is this:

http://www.nsr250.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=865&highlight=pgmiv+hrc

Took me nearly 20 seconds to find that!

As for card types, HRC 010 is dry use/leaded fuel, HRC 020 is wet use/leaded fuel, and HRC 030 is all conditions/unleaded fuel.

Only the HRC 030 is now officially available, and they are getting thin on the ground now too.

There's also a 'factory' 525 card, but we won't need to talk about that.

035 and the "factory 525" cards

Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:59 am » Post: #6 » Download Post

Hi Guys - Actually I would like to know about the 035 and the "factory 525" cards! I haven't heard about these in the past.

The way I also understand it is that if I lose my factory "stock" swipe card there is no way of getting another re-programmed?

I know that I revive a dead topic but as time pasts and cards become rarer it will concern many owners I suppose.
So my question is how difficult is to make a new card combining the 000 and the 030 in order to mak a road legal tunned curve card?
What were the JHA and the M Parts cards? Road legal(000) tuned with another sticker? A completely new development of these tuners? Or a race card(030)?
Afaik it is possible to transform a 000 to 030, I would liked to know how please. I know that it might be bussiness secret but asking is still for free Razz
I am interested in DIY developing a card.

PS I wonder Honda intented MC28 to be a 40hp bike for good? How about a 50hp RC45 impossible to derestrict? Insane!

Ha ha.... the 525 card. I know Andy, Steve and I discussed this a few years back. We wondered if it was the card that held the map, or whether it just told the PGM which map to run.

Therefore our great thinking was that if all the card does is says 'turn on' & 'which map to run', then the 525 map already exists on the PGM IV and our programming friend in Japan should be able to access it for us.

Correct??

The cards just activate an already existing map in PGM?

I had this same conversation with Fontyy a few years back. On a race mc28 you can remove the card once it's been started and it still runs, therefore its either sending the whole map to the Pgm on initial startup or it is just telling the Pgm which map to run....my guess is the later. I thought someone else would have the tools to read the data a card sends by now?
