Brake line connections

Sun Jan 26, 2014 8:10 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just getting back to my nsr after finishing a tzr, and have realised the ss brake lines I have have a different fitting to those I'm familiar with, ie no banjo bolts on the callipers?

Can you tell me what I need, the name of the part, to attach these lines to the the callipers?

Thanks

Hey. Mate. Just take the line and caliber to a shop that sells speedflow and get the right fitting for the caliber to suit those lines. That fittings on the hose seals on a tapered seat opposed to an copper oring and banjo. What you will need is a '200 series' stainless fitting. Not sure on size, but they can check that at the shop. If you were in qld I could direct you to a shop, not sure of anyone in Sydney. Just google speedflow and find a distributor down there. Should be a 200 series fitting, but they'll check it out for you.

Boxar,

Picked up the bits today. Great place for lots of tricky bits, and nice guys too, ie Motorsport Connections, Seven Hills.

Thanks for your advice!
