As I am a total spastic with computers I can tell that I unless I get help I will be able to add some photos here.. I wanted to show you guys my bike, my NSR...
I have used this site a lot for trouble shooting and getting part numbers, most numbers have changed now as Honda is making new part numbers for a lot of the new parts for old bikes... If that makes sense
Anyway, thank you guys are an awesome and very helpful website. Drew (the moriman) told me it was a bad idea to get straight on here and try to sell things, so I better keep quiet..
I know many people want their bikes to be mega original and mega clean. I'm not one of them, I know clean original bikes sell better, especially in Japan. But for my personal ride I like them to look used and ridden hard.
There are some other NSR's in that bucket, all are mine, or were mine.
As for the Honda initiative. I can buy these babies, all day long. I do this as my job. I go to the biggest trade auctions in Japan, and whenever old 2 strokes are worth it I buy them. I love 2 strokes, it hurts my heart thinking how they are a dying breed and if, and where ever possible I will share this pleasure.
I am a personal friend of Drew, his sweet Scottish accent is like music to my ears, although I rarely know what he is saying. I know that he said it was OK to use his name as a reference here. Later next week I will help him send off two or three of his bikes. Not NSR's but one is a very nice Blue Fox CBR
So if you NSR nerds out there (meant in the best and most endearing way possible) should be interested in importing bikes. I can buy them and get them shipped worldwide. Preferable whole containers, single stacked. Finding shippers that will take crates can be a pain..
Should I make a photo bucket with only auction NSR's? Yay or nay? If people would want to see I would be happy to do so.. Bear in mind that some photos will be of appalling quality since some sites are secure I won't let me download images at all
Basically a container is about 200.000 yen on land costs Japan side, including loading, customs and freight to Aus. Prices vary a lot from shipping company and availability. Best to strike as soon as you get a good quote.
All ports are different, just as all countries are different, best to do your research, find out about import tax, import approvals, terminal handling charges and quarantines and such.
Hey big chap , I better bring my etch a sketch along next time so you know what I am on about
On the right side of each of your photos there is " Links to share this photo " select the lower IMG , it will say copied , then in your post just paste ( Control V ) and it will put a line of code in and it will appear when you post just like above _________________ Resistance is futile!
Well Drew is the expert, I could very well be wrong. I did notice that when I ordering parts a few times I wrote them down here. I can't remember if it was jet kits or rings or what. But in the computer at the Honda shop they showed up as discontinued..
Then when we found the parts in the fiche catalog they came up with different number, as newly made parts.. Maybe it was pistons? Or maybe I am just a moron.. Drew seems to be a walking encyclopedia of parts nomenclature. He I will claim ignorance and blame him for everything
