Nx5 clutch

Any chance the nsr250 mc28 has the same clutch as the nx5? If anyone has the mc28 dimensions, I'd really appreciate it.

Totally different, I'm afraid.

Racer38 could probably help you out with some dimensions, if he's feeling charitable. He has an MC28SP and an NXA in his shed, and knows which way round to hold vernier calipers. I'll ask him.

What dimensions did you need and what are you trying to do?

I have an nx5, but Honda have stopped making the clutch frictions. I was hoping to find another model which used the same frictions, thought that maybe the nsr might be the same.
I've tried Barnett, and they're fine for practice. But they fall apart after one race start.
Any suggestions/advice welcome.

These T2 Racing plates are for NF5. No idea if they are compatible for an NXA

NF5 is the same (ish!) as NSR250R.

T2Racing do run a couple of NXAs, so can probably help. I'll ask.

Do you know the specific part numbers you require, Tom? Is it as follows?

22201-NX5-003 x4
22202-NX5-000 x2

T2R say they should be able to supply a new set of fibres, but Matsumoto-san says he had a very good used OEM Honda set personally, if it's of any use? Are you racing or parading?

He'll check with his supplier for a price & availability.

Hi Andy. I'm interested in both, please.
And it's for racing, not parading.
Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated.

The 6 new OEM fibre plates will be ¥30,000 (about £187 current exchange rate) + shipping.

He says he also wants ¥30k for the used plates, but there are about 20 of them.

I'll have the Frictions Andy, but not the steels, I have plenty of spare steels.

Pretty sure he means the 20 used plates are friction plates too, but I'll check.

Edit: He says the used ones are friction plates, and good to use for practice and testing to save wear on the new plates for the race(s).
