I have a MC 21, the bike has 30 000 km on the clock. My gearbox oil is a white/grey color. I checked the water in my radiator, and it does not seemed to have dropped, and neither have my oil level risen. The bike runs fine, engine temperature in normal. Can it be anything else than water in the gearbox ? The gearbox oil also seams fine, is not sticky or very thick...
It's proabably just condensation, which over time has emulsified the oil. Check the breathers aren't blocked. Drain and flush the box, then refill again. Should be fine. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Being as Dave has nothing better to do than monitor the forum, he's beaten me to it again!! :)
Jaco, where are you located? If you are in the States, then there is a very popular transmission oil our friends Stateside seem to like which actually is a grey/blue colour already! The brand name escapes me for now though, but I'll find out for you.
If this isn't the case however, it is most likely (as Dave says) condensation. It's certainly a good idea to drain the transmission, refill it, run down the road a few miles to warm it up, drain it and refill again, just to be sure! Transmission oil isn't too expensive, and a couple of litres of oil is a hell of a lot less expensive than a new transmission!
Just keep an eye on the levels for the next few ride-outs after the oil change.
NSR-WORLD.COM uses and recommends RockOil G.R.O. fully synthetic transmission oil for all NSR models.

Andy is talking about the RedLine lightweight Shockproof gear oil. It's a milky blue when you put it in. I was using this, as I was getting it at cost from my sponsor.
I am switching to the RockOil tonight in my transmission. From what I have been told by many people, it's good stuff. _________________ Charles Gallant
