I have had two sets of Corin body work. The RS style, and the stock style. Been happy with both sets.

The first set I was lucky, and had someone in Japan send to me. The second set I brought home with me when I was there a couple years ago.

thanks

Yep, that is Corin Motors in UENO station (Tokyo), I had a front RS type fender from them on my NSR a few years ago and it didn't even come close to fitting. I pulled the wheel off and still had to open the holes up, after many hours of work, got it done but it was always crooked and cracked like 3 months later. I went to their shop last summer in Tokyo and it is massive and they have a small NSR 50 and 250 section and had a Rossi Replica NSR250 there on display. I don't know why but you can't take pictures, I pulled out my camera to get a picture of the NSR there and 3 dudes jumped right in front of me waving their arms and shouting "NO PICTURE ! NO PICTURE!"....oh well

Silhouette Japan stuff is way better IMHO

I actually got me brand new corin lower. Really nice piece but it doesn't fit my upper at all. My mistake though, I assumed that the upper I had was a corin piece.
BTW... Can any of you identify this mystery upper?

It has been a while since I made it out to Tokyo last, but I think I did go to that shop you mentioned. If it was in the UENO area than I probably went, sorry I can't remember the names, but I spent the entire day or about 8 hours just hanging around and found some old Rothmans stickers, iron on patches and bought some HRC parts.

If anybody ever makes a trip to Tokyo, make sure to take some time and stop by UENO. There might not be as many NSR or NSR parts as there used to be, but still lots of fun things to see. Just watch out not to take pictures inside CORIN or you might get escorted out with a friendly smile.

Hi JohnBlaze, that is a very nice NSR you got there. I see lots of cool custom parts there and cool stand too. Sorry I don't know what kind of upper that is you have there, but it looks pretty cool. I think Corin was selling a brand of fiberglass bodywork called PROUD for a while a bit ago and then it dissapeared or maybe they changed the name. It might be that....but can not guarantee.

What kind of forks are those on your Repsol? Interesting

I actually stopped in UENO for just over a week when i was in Japan (not really the nicest place we had stopped) But it is pretty centrally located (only a short train ride away from AKIHABARA ) and this is also where the SKYLINER has a station .
My hotel was about 4-5 shops away from CORIN ,I dont ever think i have seen so many bike shops in one area ever they are on both sides of the highway and down all the little side streets for about a mile or so truly impressive and a definite must see if ever in Japan.

When I was there, I was really wanting to get a nice Helmet. I was disappointed they didn't have fat head sizes Sad

UENO was a great place to spend some time in a city that I shared little culture with, on a busy work schedule. Corin has shops all over the UENO area. Each shop was centered around different things. One was for apparel, one for Cruiser, one for accessories, then there was one for performance stuff. This one was nice, as if had some VERY fancy Jha exhaust systems. Then there was the main building (it seemed to be main) that upstairs was pretty much body work, and all the Honda NSR spares. This is where I picked up my Jha airbox cover, Jha jet kit, and the Corin NSR body work.

The workers didn't speak much english, but it was enough to get by for me. I even communicated well enough to get them to box up the body work for transporting on an airplane.

The main subway loop has a stop at UENO, so it's easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in the city. I was staying in the Shinagawa area, and found it very easy to get there from the hotel.

A Jamie said, if you in Tokyo, you need to make a trip to Ueno for at least a couple hours (and bring a pocket full of Yen with you!).

Thanks

Hey Jamie, The forks are huge eh? They are from a early CBR900rr. I dont mind them too much aside from the fact that they are way too stiff. Still trying figure a cheap way soften them up a bit. No body really sells softer springs. The previous owner put alot of the trick parts on it. Laughing
BOW eh??? Wink
